I agree with that

Most of our work is servicing and I do use the online ordering, but quite often I use the MANN website to look up filters to get the correct part number. When you type that into the ECP site it gives you what they think is the right filter with their own unique 9 digit part numbering system, but invariably when it arrives it's not the correct MANN filter in the box, had this on no less than three occasions in one week a while back

I did ask a rep a while back why they use a 9 digit code for parts, why not just have the manufacturers part numbers on your system......they said it's done to stop you cross-referencing their parts with other factors (price checking, alternatives etc)

The other frustrating thing is that there is now very little difference between the trade price and the click and collect price the public can use, they are giving 25% discount on their public site at the moment which brings prices virtually in-line with our trade prices
