We did look at a more modern interface a few years back but were warned by Boardhost that converting the 12 years of data to the new style boards could be very risky. Around that time another well known forum tried to update theirs, they did not lose the data but it rendered into an unreadable format and would have taken forever to put it right so it closed

Many companies still run old software such as XP so they are in the same position, converting 20 years of files and data to a new system is virtually impossible, you end up running the old alongside the new
