unusual break from boreing cars,i have court case due relating to non payment of bill . basic outline,vehicle came in non-start.vw sharan(taxi)350000 miles.injection pump exploded,first time customer,sugested new pump,customer sugested second hand pump,we told him to supply his own s/h pump as we would not.tested s/h pump (ok)fitted pump vehicle started and ran like a piece of shit,tappet rattling .customer picked vehicle up brought back next day with missfire,investigation revealed tappet exploded no 1 cylinder.......... repaired vehicle saving the cylinder head only one tappet damaged obviously changed all eight gave back to at the time a gratefull customer his perfectly ,sweet as a nut 350000 miled sharan,never heard from him since.untill i tried to get paid... he has taken "advice" and sugested we were responsible for the failure of the one tappet in 350000 mile sharan...i now need to go to small claims court to recover my money to do this i need to prove hydrolic tappet failure in high milage tdi vw's(we have had genuine customers with this problem before,one of which is offering to be a witness) what i require from uk autotalk,are techs who have repaired or seen this problem,to send a short testemony explaining that they have come across this problem and it is known.either fax 0191 4146333 or e.mail sorry for the long post,the job is difficult enough without this . thank you for your time graeme
