Like you I use the system daily. It's just a case of getting used to it. Few people like change. Like you, I've tested out of hours and had to adjust them to suit. The idea of the specifically worded menus for failure items is to prevent inexperienced testers from failing components that aren't testable items. Sadly, not all testers are as good as they should be, and the system has to cater for the lowest common denominator. I reckon it will take about six months of daily use before it becomes second nature.
