I agree with what you are saying and I also get annoyed with lads in lockups and farm yards with no permission. It is these lads who then carry out all the quick easy profitable jobs and brag in the local pubs about how we rip everybody off. Yet it is us who have to spend a fortune on overheads, training and equipment to do the jobs correctly. (The only trouble with this statement is main dealers probably consider us independants a pain in the backside who don't spend as much on training and equipment as they do) I still wonder if Kite Mark or ATA will do any good at all as long as these dubious lads can carry on. Maybe if the local councils clamped down on anybody without proper planning consent or a "certificate of lawfullness" it would be a lot better for the rest of us, Kite Mark or not.
