Re: bad debts
Posted by MALCOLM TRIPP on August 15, 2007, 6:14 pm, in reply to "bad debts" Very easy to do,now its internet based you can do it all on line. Charges on a sliding scale depending on amount, which eventually customer will have to pay. In my experience if you obtain a CCJ in your favour you are unlikley to get the cash, customer may have ten more against them so one more makes no nevermind. Next step up from CCJ is 1: apply for an attachment of earnings (did it once £800.00 bill being paid at £20.00 a month, four years to get the cash ) 2: Apply for baliffs to collect goods to the value (waste of time)3:Apply for a lean on their property if they own it(have you got long enough to live) all these options cost extra ! You are entitled to add a £50.00 administration fee and interest at going rate to your claim. Google HMCS or www.hmcs.gov.uk I would go for it if you need any assistance e mail me,it's worth it to stop the B******* getting away with it.

Re: bad debts - a solution
Posted by derek sumnall on August 19, 2007, 12:17 pm, in reply to "Re: bad debts" Just a suggestion. A couple of years ago a lady avoided payment for ten months despite me having made many phone calls, sent letters then involved a solicitor finally taking it to the small claims court. She was fire proof nothing worked and her name was a feature in county court summons. Regards Derek

Posted by Tony Sefton on August 21, 2007, 7:07 pm, in reply to "Re: bad debts - update" The only Good thing is that You don't have to deal with the Same Idiots again and you can look for better customers. And As soon as you get chance to Do anything Bad to that Customer he had better get ready. ( Legally of Course ). I Even have one Member of UKAT that Has Ignored me and My Requests of Payment since He received a few Airflow meters off Me over a year ago. They are the Sort of people that Really annoy you as they are the people that we should be able to trust. If they can't make money running their business then they should pack it in. ( Not Rip off their Colleagues )
