i had the exact same problem with a year 2000 Honda Accord, doesn't hae a 19 pin DLC. My car has a 5 pin like yours and a 2 pin for flash code use and wasn't far from the 5 pin connector.
The 2 pin connector has a cover over it as well. I had a fault with the auto gearbox and gearbox codes were done by flash code as well.
