Shaun, I did wonder whether in fact it was that type, you are right, you can take it apart and repair it. One of the 2 magnets will have come adrift and made it very stiff to move. I don' know if Paul's was the same type, but from your description, your's is! Mine was on a GDI Mitsu Pinin, sort of a toy Jeep! I used expoxy resin to glue the magnet back, which is what Mitsu must have used in the first place. You will probably need to reset the throttle pot when you refit. Also watch out for the roller bearing on the tps side, if it drops out, you may lose it. If the thing is totally useless, you have nothing to lose by taking it apart and repairing it, good luck, regards, Gwyn
