Jamie, have you tried filling the tank? It maybe that the pump unit having come apart has pumped (leaked) all of the fuel to that side of the tank. Memory is failing, but I have a vague recollection of something similar happening to me, I think I put a gallon into the dry side and the pump then equalised the contents on both sides., good luck!!
