Probably because there was nothing wrong with the other car in the first place, So The adaptions didn't need resetting as the new airflow meter was almost the same as the original one. ????
i would be doing a hell of a lot more testing before condemning the ecu.
i can't remember having to change an ecu just because the lambda readings were wrong.
I would Also never Replace an ecu if a flash update was available, until after i had tried it. ( unless it was a definite fault like coil driver etc )
What about Testing other things such as fuel pressure, timing, blocked injectors, blocked exhaust etc before replacing the ecu. ??
P,S. Dont forget a used ecu is no use unless its been reset before removing it.
