Hi all
Have the above vehicle in at the mo, intermitent cutting out on long journeys mainly on motorways. Fault coded on thursday and there was about 14 faults stored so i cleared them and took it for long drive but it went o.k, so i gave it back to the customer. She then rang on saturday and said it had cut out on the motorway after doing about 40 miles, she waited about 15 to 20 minutes then it started. Fault coded again today and came up with 8 faults.
P0230 Fuel pump power supply malfunction
P0650 MIL control circuit malfunction
P1550 Throttle valve control motor system or component in emergency mode.
P1660 Engine control unit programming fault
U2103 CAN bus malfunction
U2104 CAN data bus malfunction
U2108 CAN data bus, ABS control unit communication error.
U2139 CAN bus steering column module communication error.
Cleared the faults again and took it for a long drive and again it went o.k.
Checked the power supplies and earths to the engine control unit and all were good. I also fault coded the ABS system and got 1 fault code.
U2105 Communication with engine control unit faulty.
Im thinking that ive got an ecu problem but i cant be 100% certain. It would be most appreciated if anybody else had any thoughts on this.
