Sorry to have mis-lead you. Normally on a vehicle that decides to cut out whatever the reason, the dash-board warning lights come on. On this vehicle they don't which leads me to think that the cutting out is not due to the normal reasons such as crank sensor, relays etc. So this in a way discounts the normal reasons for the vehicle to break down but at the moment I cannot think of any logical reason why the dashboard warning lights do not illuminate.
I agree with you about the C-Reader 5. I use it as a first look tool and find the instant graphing of various components saves me digging out and setting up Pico. However, when I mentioned this in one of my posts last year, it brought a lot of amusement and merriment from readers who decried this handy little tool.
