If you have another scanner cope the cmp/ckp whilst trying to activate vvt solenoid. thanks
I have a couple of images from 2 different cars and they've both been almost identical. 1.0 or 1.2 engines.
Just one note that i found out after replaceing the timing chain and the car still didnt' run very well after a while even though the timing chain started off timed up perfect.
Remove the VVT solenoid valve and try to operate in manually as the one i did was seized in the advanced position and logged the same code.
I managed to free it off but the ecu then had no control command but the customer was happy to leave it not working as the car is running perfect. That was nearly 2 years ago.
The top image is when the solenoid was sticking. Activate the solenoid valve with your scantool and try to advance the timing as its running to see if it alters engine note.
