Not sure if it's applicable this late on, but it's not tappet jacking is it. The earlier ones are prone for cold misfires, which even out once warm. Hard starting especially if really cold, and Peugeot now use 0w30 oil in them too. Does the following describe your problem: Generally it will only do it when started for the first time each day or when the car had been left for at least 5 hours or more and cooled? does the car starts fine and fast idle at 1200rpm but as it slows to 1000rpm the car juddering/virbration gets worse? Is your car a 2.0 petrol? If yes to all these it's probably the hydraulic tappets/lifters sticking. Replacement lifters are modified, so probably not worth risking after-market ones.
