Vehicle has a tremendous amount of previous history, at the moment car will start then cut out, on initial scan returned codes for:
P0113 inlet air temp imput,
P0532 air con pressure sensor
P1539,ac evaporator temp sensor
P0340 cam sensing problem
P0106 map imput
P0500 speed sensor fault
P0170 fuel system.
Cleared codes all returned.
Now to previous history going back to Sept up until then car performed OK no mil on, went in to garage to check on oil leak on front of engine(cam cover)before any work was carried out engine was washed of.
Vehicle would not start,wiring around manifold was found to have 5/6 wires burnt together, rubbing on meteal bracket this was repaired plus one crank and cam sensor still no start and bill for £300-00p.
It was then towed to another establishment, ecu fitted and new throttle body, lambda and various secondhand parts £600-00p no eml on.
Unfortunatley it is at this point i became involved looked at the car running at 1.0 on front lambda and above codes, smoke tested slight air leak on manifold tried to tighten but still leaking so new gasket fitted that sorted leak.
Whilst manifold off looked at wiring loom repair and looked like it had been soldered with a welding torch, so sourced good secondhand one and surprise once fitted no codes logged but still starting and running but very rich.
Vehicle then left for day moved following day and brought back in left, later in the afternoon went back to vehicle it would start and then stop,on checking round vehicle could see nothing wrong possible immobiliser fault?
T4 (mobile tech)called to match ecu and immobilizer job done still the same start then stops and no codes.
Used scope to check on cam and crank signals crank looks ok but cam looks strange,also checked voltage and used led on cam senor all ok.
Have used noid light on injectors that is flashing on start up and on cranking.
If i mist another fuel supply through throttle plate vehicle runs ,so correct me if i am wrong it needs to see crank sensor to start but then cam sensor takes over injection? does cam sensor receive an imput from from immobilizer?
Other checks fuel pressure ok, cam timing and pullies.
Injection time have seen at 29ms but now down to 7ms on cranking.Vehicle has ht at cranking.
All earths checked, rear of engine, slam panel, under fuse box, kick panels, inner wings,main relay works as does fuel pump relay and fuel pump, once again sorry for long post have tried to upload cam trace but unable to will try again.Am using bosch esitronic 2.0 as reference in light of that have ordered a "Rave" workshop manual disc who knows might be able to have a good time with a rover
