Can I ask a question,

As Shane has found the ecu was missing an ign feed and from looking at a wiring diagram it only was an ecu feed, if he were to cut both ends of the circuit and re-run a new wire what harm can it cause.

I understand if you just add the live back into the original ecu pin with the old wire still intact could be dangerous if its shorting to earth but don't see it as an issue if you isolate both ends of the circuit.

I probably would've done the same thing.
