    Hi Peter,

    VAG-COM is an excellent tool for the money, I have recently upgraded mine to CAN but apart from having better labels and DTC descriptions it wont do much more than ADPro can, So in this instance I would think its not needed.

    In general there are many advantages with Vag-Com its more stable on live data, if it loses comms it very quickly takes you back in. You don't have to enter engine code for live data it finds correct labels automatically.
    It has an excellent graphing facility with up to 12 lines of data at once. It is regularly updated FOC. Support is second to none if you buy direct


    It is well worth having though and best go direct to Ross-Tech for it mine took only two days direct from US.
