Hi Mike, This is a danger we all face these days with CAN systems of one sort or another on late model cars. In most cases now the scantool has to comunicate through the main CAN to retrieve codes and does not actually comm direct with the controller you are working on. Who knows what other systems are being affected by the data communications the scantool is using. It is not unknown for tools to cause lots of CAN BUS errors in other systems. Lets hope there is an easy answer to this one as I beleive it will get worse before it gets better. Mike
