    Hi James

    You could try a strong dose of forte gas treatment in the fuel tank and a long road test in a low gear.
    I have had success with the older fords using this method.
    It may also benefit from a flush and oil change at the same time if it has only been used for short trips. Have you checked the crankcase fumes with a gas analyser for HC's?
