Michael, I know where your coming from on this subject, but the guys on this site, on the whole, I would imagine are independent tech`s(no diy`ers here). The term "stealers" has been used for years within the trade and we have all experienced the "stealer" at first hand.
Who knows maybe Alan spent time looking at this, then upon finding the fault, quoted the guy maybe £500 for the chain job only to be told he`s off to the dealer.
Sounds to me like a tongue in cheek comment that somebody on here has taken offence to....................again(insert yawn!)
