Hi Jim Thing is,the one i had drove me up the wall for a few days as i remember,plus it was a traders bucket that made things worse.I too drove around with a pressure gauge duct taped to the windscreen,pi**ed around with it for ages(unpaid)in the end i had the pump in a bucket of petrol trying to make it produce the fault (big pressure drop when turning left/right a fast circle would make it cut out)Could not fault the pump.I found that if you put say 3/4 tank fuel in it it was lots better,at the time the truth is it was a last resort but i decided to put a new tank on it and it totally cured it.Turnes out there are known issues with a few models with swirl pots located incorrectly/faulty.
