    It sounds like you have not updated the software in the ECU using Tech2. Dealer replacement ECUs come with a dummy program which may start the car but may not operate all functions (air-con etc.) and may not be the correct update level for the vehicle. Also these ECUs need to have the vehicle's VIN number programmed ionto them.The procedure is to program the ECU with the correct level of software for the car THEN code the immobiliser until this has been done the warning light will flash as a warning.
