I also Re-read Eds post several times and cannot see anything wrong. ??
This is a very interesting subject and is starting to clear things up, but it does look as though there are quite a few variations to this type of sensor.
Even the Tomco link doesnt mention the 5v - 4 wire Titania sensor. The only one that it shows is the 3 wire 5v sensor which has the 5v supply through the ecu which goes through 2 resistors, and then to earth.
The GM 5v sensor appears to have a fixed 5v supply which goes through the sensor and goes back to the ecu on a different signal wire.
I think this is where the confusion of rich and lean and high and low voltage may come from.
It just goes to show that we cannot take anything for granted and just believe the first thing that we read.
( or what some manufacturers Tech help lines tell us. )
I will have another read and study these diagrams tonight after work. ( see if my thick head can take it all in )
