Im not an expert on these but we had a Golf in recently with similar codes and we traced that to splits in the air pipe from the secondary fan motor to the exhaust manifold. www.ms-motor-service.com/ximages/pg_si_0012_en_web.pdf I visited the above web and found loads of usefull info. If Vagcom loads up ok and there is a label file for it have a look and see if it lists secondary air test. This is different to the function test. The cars computer then caries out an engine running test of the secondary air fan and system pressure check. Also it is controled by the coolant temp sensor. The coolant has to be cold. Sorry cant remember exact temp but assume around 10 Degrees C and below. Hope its of some use. Best wishes Peter Cooper
