replaced breather valve which cured mainly cured the hunting problem. emmissions were still all over the place for no apparent reason. roadtested car (mainly out of spite) and rechecked the emmissions. all readings are within spec and engine ticks over lovely. will recheck emmissions in the morning and let you all know the results.
