Nissan Note 1.4 2006 - Front O2 sensor fault, code P0132 - Fixed #

Year of Manufacture *: 2006
Engine Size and Code *: 1.4
( Optional) Fault Codes: P0132

Could anyone confirm what type of hego sensors are fitted
To these vehicles? Titannia or zirconia.
And a wiring and pin diagram of engine ecu would be great!

done two 56 plate micras both with zirconia sensors in them and both had lost earth to grey wire causing poor idle,put own earth on, idle perfect and gas readings mot pass hth.

What voltage are you seeing?
Also have a look at votage at B1S2
I have seen these sensors reading almost 11 volts They do go a bit haywire.

Dave had the did you trace where the earth had been
lost?
The voltage is about 1.78v this is with or without the sensor connected,if the ecu is responsible for grounding the sensor earth, doesn't appear to going so!
Any pin diagrams ?

try disconecting the rear sensor and see what happens to your voltage in sensor 1

hi nigel,yes ecu was responsible for earthing lambda sensors,it was hitachi ecu cr12de engine code, pin no 74 which was earth on grey wire for front and rear lambda sensors hth regards dave

Today I removed the ECU check continuity to the sensor. Cleaned all the termination and added a earth strap from corroded ECU case to battery ground
re tested and got all exited when static voltage read 400 mv.
Stared engine voltage started to rise and kept going and leveled out at 1.03 v however the co in exhaust is still non existent and o2 is running at about 4%.
I thinking the ecu may be damaged because injector
period doesn't respond.

Aidan. The repair I carried out on the earth path
corrected the rear sensor voltage as well.
But what was your thinking on the rear sensor?

I under stand The Micra had a soft wear issue, wrongly reporting a front sensor fault when problem was the rear sensor.

I appreciate yours is a note, but worth a quick check

I agree with Aiden, try disconecting b1s2. did one last week, and car ran like new.

There was an article in aftermarket magazine(I think) by Dave McCall about same fault.

As MM and others have advised, disconnect the rear sensor and then check the front sensor output, rear sensor heater known to short across to signal/earth circuit causing voltage to read high (both sensors use the same earth) and system then tries to reduce fuel thinking system is running rich. You are checking at the lambda sensor and not relying on a scan tool???.

Ecu Re build fixed Hego sensor earth fault.
Had a little "problem" with idle control,got around this now and is working now. Thanks everyone for your help.
