Hadley Freeman: the Assange expert who worked on the Guardian's fashion desk for 8 years Archived Message

Oh, come on, John. The author of the Guardian's unpleasant piece is one Hadley Freeman, a native New Yorker whose parents unfortunately moved her to the UK along with themselves when she was a child. She underwent the usual demanding training for a journalist in the UK - reading English Lit at Oxbridge. Had a year in Paris and then joined the Guardian's fashion desk where she spent 8 years. So, you know, eminently qualified to pour scorn upon Julian Assange. He has only tried to shine a light upon dark deeds committed by our governments with our money and done in our name for which he's endured 7 years locked away in pretty hellish conditions while Ms Freeman has devoted her time (more-or-less the same length of time Assange has been inside the Embassy) to writing about frocks. What a journalist eh?
