From Article 8 of the 2003 Treaty "3. In addition to the requirements in paragraph 2 of this Article, a request for extradition of a person who is sought for prosecution shall be supported by: (a) a copy of the warrant or order of arrest issued by a judge or other competent authority; (b) a copy of the charging document, if any; and (c) for requests to the United States, 3. In addition to the requirements in paragraph 2 of this Article, a request for extradition of a person who is sought for prosecution shall be supported by: (a) a copy of the warrant or order of arrest issued by a judge or other competent authority; (b) a copy of the charging document, if any; and (c) for requests to the United States, such information as would provide a reasonable basis to believe that the person sought committed the offense for which extradition is requested. The US have already made their rquest, so presumably must have supplied what they and our Home Secretary think is a reasonable basis. In May Assange could be jail for up to year for skipping bail. That will be grounds enough for denying him further bail as he goes up the appeals procedure against extradition to the USA. He may be in a British jail for a long time, well past the Swedish statute of limitation on the W case, unless some lower British court is bold enough and unbiased enough to judge that the US has not supplied a "reasonable basis"
