Re: Asbestos Archived Message Posted by Gerard on July 25, 2019, 11:28 am, in reply to "Re: Asbestos" Thanks Tomski..I suspected it was true that the proper responses to the asbestos threat were never instituted...cost will be the reason...shame you can't find that article....I was told by a council employee that asbestos heat shielding can still be found on older models of cookers and the like...the denial over this issue is exemplified by that fact that people are not warned about this and most are unaware that asbestos may still be present in their house even if an asbestos check proved negative (as is the case with my tenancy where an outdoor shed was removed years ago because asbestos had been present). One might also ask why they are still checking for the presence of asbestos to this day and as I asked before why is it that U.K legal firms explicitly advertise their expertise with asbestos related claims? If anyone here can provide links to article on this subject I would be grateful if they did so.
