Sorry to hear about your difficulties in Ireland, Garry. People have suggested van-living to me too, but I'd have to learn to drive first! Maybe horse-drawn is the way to go? However that shouldn't excuse inactivity from the wealthiest nations in the cooler regions' - yes, though this also shades into the rewilding debate of whether it's okay to allow reforestation in 1st world countries at the cost of deforestation and corporate mega-farms in the 3rd world (not saying that's what you meant). If led by a concept of justice maybe it could work by western countries helping to reforest the tropics as a kind of reparations. What that would then mean for +our+ forests is another problematic question. It would bring home the insanity of wood use in disposable consumer products for one thing... Agreed on the need for cleaning up lands that have been poisoned by industry. cheers, I
