I'd imagine so. If you're rich enough you can make money no matter which way the tide turns, and, I'd say, if you can steal from the poor and blame it on them for the way they voted all the better (despite it not lining up with the reality that they've been doing that for much longer).
If I was to guess I'd say they don't really care one way or the other. If brexit actually happened they'd use it as an excuse to rape the country further and blame the majority for it. If it doesn't, they'll just keep doing it and business as usual, perhaps wth a caveat we should thank our lucky stars it wasn't worse. If we could try both flavours simultaneously I doubt most of us would know the difference.
It could be different, of course, but we'd need to actually get up and start calling bullshit on that type of declaration as it happens. So far, many seem to have fallen for it, so it's unlikely that the next few months will change that for the people. If it doesn't happen, one side will sit down satisfied they've averted tragedy and the other side will give up. If it does, one side will be blamed for every ill thereafter and no one will do anything to fight those responsible for the next offense against the people. Whatever the situation, they have achieved division between the people rather than against the govt and elite, as the British govt has done so well for so long.
It's a pity yes minister no longer airs. We could still learn a thing or two from humphrey's(?) explanations.
