It's just evidence. The difference between mine and yours is that mine didn't come from Oxford university (a place overwhelmingly filled with the elite and the upper middle classes*). It just came from a simple search on the Internet for news articles from mainstream sources from that time period.
It's all very well for you to make a declaration that the elite via the msm are I favour of brexit, but it's bullshit. Some are and some aren't. What is true is that the elite via the msm did not expect the result they got and were instantly sore, hence the articles like those I posted in large volume, continuously ever since. You know that truth as well as I do. Anecdotal btw would be me saying why those around me were in favour of leaving. None were to do with racism or a belief that a better life would follow brexit. That's anecdotal. Relevant, but anecdotal. What I posted was direct, first level evidence.
That you dismiss it says to me you're not willing to entertain any ideas you haven't already formed. That's fine, I didn't expect it. Telling me my logic is confused however is nonsense. It's just not your opinion, which is something different. Evidence, then logic and reason lead to different conclusions. The question is only about how much of a leap of faith we must make to twist that evidence into something we want to see or hear.
Since I didn't have a horse in the race (I'm damned if I did and damned if I didn't, so I didn't vote), I can only focus on the actual evidence before and after. What I've seen is a lot of hot air, a lot of doomsaying, a lot of scaremongering, and a lot of people taken leave of their senses when it comes to analysis of possibilities. For me a final straw was the sky is falling ideas surrounding customs and shipments. It firstly made Me giggle, then shake my head. How little people understand about how global economic and trade actually work! The idea that the eu is the only thing between success and starvation for the uk is ridiculous. We are talking about an institution that only 30 years old . The arguments on that were ignorant. I worked in a shipping company for a while. What people were saying made little sense compared to the reality. If that was the case for an area I know something about I can only assume that a lot of the nonsense that has been going on in the msm about what brexit will mean for the people also leans towards nonsensical. Everyone who's got a reason to want to stay in The eu seems to have accepted all the nonsense arguments regardless of how intelligent or stupid the arguments have been.
I'd like to see more facts, more actual evidence discussed, discounted, dismissed where it finds itself wanting, etc. That isn't happening. This is what I mean about black being white. People like yourself who are intelligent, thoughtful, forceful in strong argument seem to have been reduced to backing a side rather than making sensible argument. Why? I think fear.
I can't see any better reason. Because I know when I smell bullshit, it's usually because some bovine is nearby. And I've been smelling it since the people voted to leave and the msm/elite got their knickers in a twist.
