Seriously, it's getting almost painful to watch Monbiot's slow decline into self-parody and into some kind of self-righteous, Mccarthyite reactionary posing as a cutting-edge dissident. But I guess if you want to write for the spook-infested, establishment-friendly Fraudian and cash their checks on a regular basis there is a price to pay in journalistic and human credibility. Besides, you can always block real dissidents who ask embarrassing questions on twitter. |
