Like Cook, I see a silver lining: Whatever any party does, the times are getting worse. So now it Archived Message

will be the Bozos who get splattered with the blame for all the screw-ups, and for the steady tightening down of all the screws that control all economic activity (particularly the critical - and still entirely unaddressed - remorseless decline of the actually-available energy without which no economic activity is possible; not to mention all the other crucial commodities heading in the same irreversible long-term downward direction). I always worried that if JC got into Downing Street, he would be bound to cop the same flak as will now hit the Bozos, and be blamed out of office before too long. Now it will be these hard-right tory scum who'll have to catch it. Couldn't happen to more deserving schmucks! And meanwhile - with the enthusiastic encouragement of the already far-too-over-privileged - we common plebs will continue to find everyday life getting tougher and less satisfying, to the point - I bleedin'-well hope! - where a critical mass of us are prepared to surface from our comfort distraction-addictions, and actually start getting bloody-minded and unmanageable in direct-action ways - at long goddamned last! Shame I probably shan't be around to see it. (Not as RhG anyway; though who's to say how it'll be for me next time round? In the thick of the national independence movements in The Isles by then, as a young firebrand troublemaker, I sincerely hope! ) Scarcity-socialism rather than neo-feudalism is still all to fight for. That's the only realistic struggle on offer from here on in. And nothing less than a bare-knuckle fight will secure the right - socialist - outcome for us-all against the privilege-scum of the English-raj class - and their damn-fool propaganda-addled, Christmas-voting turkeys of the bourgeoisie.

- Brilliant! But why didn't he warn us last week? I would have spent last night rather differently. nm - Der December 13, 2019, 10:04 pm
