The first rule of anarchy is no central governance. Except if individuals in a community agree to set up some kind of central governance, either temporarily or permanently. Anarchy is a practice. It precludes any pre-existent set rules. I would say we're still largely in the mindset of mob rule, which is not the same thing as anarchist thinking. Mob rule is not the same as anarchist thinking. No shit. This is a message board not a commune. People can freely come and go as they choose here, participate or not. Fusion and fission. Unless Dan, our hidden potentially coercive but usually benign ruler, imposes banishment as a last resort on the most egregious offenders. Something most of us do not want, I think. If there are no leaders, all perspectives must be honestly considered. I am not sure they must be considered but it's desirable. But, then, it is desirable that they are also honestly expressed, without abuse, endless repetition and childish appeals for approval.
