I wish he were a fundamentalist, in the sense of accepting the naturalistic approach that is at the heart of the scientific project. His humanism works against that as it treats humans as special. It is no better than treating God as the centre of things. He holds the perspective that it is amoral not to abort foetuses with trisomy 21 I assume you mean immoral. Did he really say it is immoral not to abort foetuses with Downs? Don't agree with that if that is what he said. In fact, that's awful. I have a 50 year old niece with Downs. She's a treasure.
