I didn't know any of them directly. But this is a small province with a population of less than a million, much smaller than a lot of cities, and it happened close by. Which really shouldn't matter although I know it does. The closer disaster or tragedy comes to us, the more we feel it. My initial reaction as the news started to come out was to hate him. But I quickly realized that hating him changes nothing and does zero good. What would perhaps do some good is to look for ways to prevent people from becoming that alienated that they would wreak havoc on their fellow humans just because they are frustrated or experience loss.
