I use a Gemini mold Neil, and I make sinkers from 2 to 6oz. You buy the kit of wires, plastic heads and threaded wire insert in packs to make 10 sinkers for $19.95. You have the choice of long or short wires. The mold itself is top quality and makes a nice smooth sinker. I get my lead from Garages (wheel weights)which are a mixture of lead and antimony making for a stronger lead.
The only problem I have when fishing with this sinker is that fine sand gets into the groove in the plastic head when the wires are sprung and they wont go back until the slot is cleaned. I use an old tooth brush to clean them out, or you could have a small bucket of water by your rod stand and wash them out in that. Other than that they are fine, and if you get your lead for nix they cost $2 ea.
