So, by taking this line is the AA not looking after the interests of drivers and every other road user by championing safety? It should not be all about saving a few quid - and a few quid is all it is at first glance, but in real terms the knock-on COSTS will be enormous.
The AA should (and probably does) recall that the test for vehicles over 10 years old was woefully inadequate and a shorter test threshold was introduced as a result.
The arguments in the article are not thought-out and have more holes than the average fishing net.
I hope that the Great British Public are not taken in by all of this twaddle, but I have often been disappointed in the past.
I could go on...best I don't!
