My little Peatrie. I cant sleep.., waiting for the vet to open. Around 9:00 tonight I heard a big boom! I knew someone fell from our 2nd floor balcony. The kittens always go up on this ledge.. there’s no way I can stop them. The also jump on the railing and walk. Which scares the crap out of me. Peatrie does this the most. Evidently she fell down on the ceramic below. I ran out to hear her crying/moaning.

I was so nervous. I put her in our walk in closet so she rests. She won’t put the one back leg down. Or move it. She cries if it moves. I am taking her as soon as vet opens tomorrow. She seems to be resting ok now, but I’m not going in by her cause she tries to walk too much on the three legs and it hurts her. She does lay and purr for me, tries to come and lay by me, and I don’t want her to hurt herself so I’m trying to stay out of there. But I check on her every now and then. I hope it’s not broken. She’s so full of life and energy. She’s one of the three kittens we kept.

I certainly didn’t expect any issues with them for many years. Now this. I hope she’ll be ok without surgery. Please say some prayers for her.

Not sure how I can stop them from climbing and jumping up on the ledge or bannisters. Unless I put them back downstairs again, but they like it up in the house here with us now. They settled in very nicely. But now this.

We had other cats walk the bannisters many years ago, but no one ever got hurt.

I’m going to be up all night now, just waiting for 8:00 am.
