My good Mexican friend and I wendy to a notary in Manzanillo, and made an actual legal document that she can handle everything until my next of kin can get here. Then we each put all that information that would be needed in a folder, and we each have one including the key to my apartment. It will save a lot of frustration and time when needed. This will work for both residents and tourists while in the country.
