Several years ago, my husband, Tom, went to a meeting discussing death, etc. in Mexico. It was advised to obtain a tarjeta inapam from SEDESOL. This is basically registering as a senior in Mexico. It took us 2 years and originals of both birth certificates and marriage license to obtain. We also had MX wills prepared. We certainly hope, should we face the problems with death in Mexico, both of these documents will assist in making it easier for the survivor or children to deal with our passing. The SEDESOL/INAPAM office we used was in La Huerta. The necessary documents can be found online.
