The real concern about not having your paperwork in order is that your heirs will have a hard time inheriting your property and even your personal belonging. The 2 people that recently died and many others in the past have had their property taken by the person they used to title it in. You better get a bank trust or the correct papers to keep this from happening. If the person that died wanted those people to have their property, they would have left it to them in their Will and maybe some did. Instead, these people are trying to take something that is not theirs and now the families have another hardship to deal with.
