Bless U Bob for bringing up what Racing should be about. Maybe we are showing our age.... Why should we do what other Tracks wish to do? Guess either way for the Current Pill Draws will work, but what is pleasing to the FANS & fellow Drivers? The TRACK should do a Survey to prove us Wrong........ In MAINS that the FAST CARS start up front & lap the Field ?? Good Drivers, with better equipment, should surely allow that Driver to start in the rear & still Win.... JUST LIKE WE DID IN THE PAST...... . Rookies & some what Slower Cars should be able to run their own Heat or a Middle Heat & that then gives the Winner a chance to carry the CHECKER........... MAINS - take the Top 12 with Highest Point Average, who have Finished their Heat, inverted for a 20 Lap Main Event. With 4 added from the B Main...... The more recent Theory that slower cars learn more racing in Heats with Faster Cars does not hold water...... When racing only once or twice a month, One can learn MORE from racing with their Equals.
