Good response Kelly. Now I think I will really muddy the waters and take a trip back in time to the 1960's and really ruffle some folks feathers.

1. Do away with Pill Draw all together.
2. 100 % inverted starts, fast guys at the back.
When did Gaylord Lippert, Pinky Odom, Dick Pool, Roby Harger and others start at the front?? These guys all came from the rear to take their many wins. ( Think J.R. Bonesteel today ).
3. Run Time Trials first 3 shows of the year. After that use point average. New cars start at back of field.
4. Pay points for 1st, 2nd and 3rd in heat races to make it worthwhile for drivers to come from the back.

I know these are not popular ideas today but it sure worked WAY back when. Some folks have talked about all of the winners coming from the front row, inverted starts would probably solve that problem and even give more drivers the opportunity to take a win.

These are just my old fashioned thoughts and I didn't mean to stir up any trouble.
