dear all, i recently attended a workshop on paruresis (shy bladder) where i was acting as an assistant. it became apparent that many of the tools that were advocated for use in aiding recovery from shy bladder would be applicable to shy bowel. and whilst the main tool used in it (graduated exposure) is much harder to apply with shy bowel, i am nonetheless in contact with someone from the ukpt (uk paruresis trust) and we are working on ways of getting round this and putting together a workshop for parcopresis sufferers.

at the moment it is in the planning stage; however we intend to go forward with it.

the workshop would place on a weekend.

costs would be kept to a minimum.

preferably it would take place in the uk; however, depending on demand from people and where that demand comes from, it may be possible to hold it in another country (a lot of people who visit this site appear to be logging in from the east coast of the united states for example).

the duration of the workshop would be 1-2 days depending on the finalised content of the workshop.

the workshop is unlikely to go ahead until we have a basic minimum of people who are willing to attend.
