As a side note, being inshore vessels, are these Kiwi trawlers? Their reaction might be what it is because they are trying to survive. I'm not condoning it, just trying to make sense of it. I've been witness to it myself for many years. I'm thinking that with the likes of Legasea, and small pockets of individuals, we as not just recreational fishermen, but as New Zealanders are finally standing up and saying NO MORE! That kinda gives me warm fuzzies.
