Helmet for me for sure now!!! Some years back at a Wanganui contest I was riding my quad of the time a Suzuki 250S manual clutch model, which was a prick of a thing to go slow on in the sand but I always was very wary. anyway on that day I ran over a hidden log, grabbed the throttle and as a result did a amazing wheelie which flipped the bike and dumped me on the beach much to the amusement of onlookers.The plastic guard smacked me on the head and knocked me out for a while but it could have been much worse. I learned my lesson right then and have worn a helmet since.
I was fishing at Ocean beach, Western Lake (Wairarapa) on Saturday and out of at least a dozen quads being ridden not one driver or passenger were wearing helmets ...Hmmmmmm
