Personally I am all for having the limit cut to half, but I want to see a substantial reduction from the commercial sector also. This would be common sense.

As for the HB fishery. Snapper numbers are on the lower side, but there are multiple reasons. I am not blaming kontikis but technology is getting better and playing a huge part, so things do need addressing all round.

Hangler, with all your experience and superb fish catching ability, it does beg the question as to why you would use a kontiki, I would also point out that over the past 12 months there has been multiple arguments from you stating HB fishery was in the prime........ Whats changed?

Any how, collectively across the board change is needed, not just for snapper but gurnard also which are worse off than snapper in the bay. Most of us are open to change, but we want to see it done fairly and not being built around gaining more quota for the commercial sector lining the government pockets.
