Yes it is still under its 10 year warranty as it was purchased at the same time I got the fin-nor surf rod from fish city in hamilton. The bail arm does flip over when you crank the handle but I always avoid cranking the handle on the reel to flip it back over and one thing I have noticed is the handle will sometimes move if the knob is not at the bottom with the line roller at the six o'clock position. I may just whip it back to fish city and have them take a look at it they may even say I might have lubed it a bit too much (one drop of oil after every second outing as per recommendation)

Now Gary don't tempt me in getting another penn I love my 850SSm it is reliable, strong, robust and smoother than a babies hind end followed by a decent sized knob on the handle but I must keep my tackle aquisition syndrome under control for the time being by order of the war council
